Since German Shorthaired Pointers are very energetic especially as puppies, they have to be fed on high premium puppy food rich in fat and protein. At the age of six months, puppies can be fed on adult food preferably of the same brand.
As for grooming, German Shorthaired Pointers are easy to care for. They need regular brushing to keep the coat clean and healthy. An occasional bath will also help to keep the dog clean. The German Shorthaired Pointer dog is an average shedder.
